The area is an oriented nature reserve and during the summer, traditional swordfish fishing is carried out in the area in front of it. A visit to the pearl of the Ionian Sea: Taormina is not to be missed. It is located about 30 minutes from the centre and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Italy. In Taormina, you will have the opportunity not only to visit the narrow streets full of shops and history, but also to admire the ancient Greek Theatre, from which you can admire a beautiful panorama, especially at sunset, but also to take a dip from the beautiful island. If you want to go on a day trip, one destination I suggest is definitely the area of Milazzo, with the castle, the Capo and the Piscine di Venere (Venus Pools), accessible only by a trekking route.
