Casabarthel Treehouse

In the early 1980s, our family decided to move to a farmhouse on the outskirts of the historic centre of Florence, on the hill opposite the Certosa dell'Ema. The property had a stone house surrounded by fields of olive trees, a manure house, a hayloft and a large terracotta courtyard designed like a village square. Today, 'Poggio Secco' is still our home and a small community of family, friends and guests from all over the world. The tree house is the most romantic of the houses where we stay. It is a room surrounded by pine trees and evergreen olive trees, perfect for an artist's residence four metres above the ground. We all live here with the same love of nature and art that the city of Florence offers us along with the wonders of the entire region.

Our little tree house offers a double bedroom, a small kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a terrace surrounded by the landscape. The cottage is complete with all necessities including pillows and blankets. You can easily park your car on the property. You can also ask for breakfast, which often consists of typical products, because among other things we produce oil in the autumn and the vegetable garden, with its chickens, gives us healthy food all year round.

Come and live with us, just twenty minutes from the Duomo of Florence and an hour from the heart of Chianti, among the trees, flowers and grass, hares and deer. The space is suitable both for living and working near the historical centre of Florence and for spending a holiday in the Tuscan countryside. We are waiting for you!
