I provide an area in the open countryside in Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta, where you can park with your tents. This is not an ordinary campsite , not only will you find yourself in the beautiful Sicily, rich in culture and history, as well as natural beauties, but you will find yourself in a strategic position to visit the surroundings.You will be 10 minutes by car from the towns of Riesi, Mazzarino and Butera, and 25 minutes by car from the sea.There are two potentially usable areas, the first in the middle of secular olive trees in perfect tranquility, the other higher up with a 360 degree panoramic view where you can admire half of Sicily . You can taste the fruits that the trees produce, such as pears, cherries and prickly pears. I also cultivate a vegetable garden and if you stay long enough you can harvest what it produces.

The services available are water, which you can collect from a stone well, lighting and a private car park. The area is fenced. Outside you will find a table and a barbecue to fully enjoy the camping experience. Check-in is available 24/24. The experience is suitable for couples, families with children, groups of friends, but also solo travellers. Your four-legged friends are welcome.

You can visit Agrigento and the incredible archaeological park of the Valley of the Temples, Parco Delle Madonie, one of the largest natural areas in Sicily, full of caves, woods and breathtaking views. In Caltanissetta, as in all of Sicily, you will find quality food of all kinds! In addition to the arancini, the Caltanissetta rotisserie boasts some unique dishes, the "muffulette" (pizzas stuffed with anchovies and onion) and the "umbriulata", a focaccia filled with olives, onion, sausage, pecorino and oil. Among the many desserts with ricotta of the Sicilian tradition, Rollò and Raviole cannot be missing from the table of the Nisseni; the former are biscuit dough cylinders filled with ricotta cream and marzipan hearts; the second courses are fried puff pastry ravioli filled with ricotta and sprinkled with honey.
