A magical place, enshrined in the territory of Villaputzu, a small, undiscovered village located on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, in the Sarrabus sub-region. The territory of the municipality of Villaputzu covers more than 181 square kilometres of wild and uncontaminated nature, while the inhabited centre is located on a short flat stretch created by the alluvial deposits of the Flumendosa river, close to the hilly area. Sa Rutta, in Sardinian, means 'The Cave': it is precisely from these ancient and difficult-to-access places, historically the land of shepherds and farmers, that we have created our Sa Rutta Experience eco-tourism project. Sardinia, famous throughout the world for the beauty of its sea and golden beaches, hides wonderful treasures in its hinterland, little known even by the inhabitants of the local villages: granite rock mountains, limestone formations, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, natural emerald pools, caves and caverns... these are the natural beauties we want you to discover. The Sa Rutta Experience Eco-Camp was born as an alternative offer dedicated to active tourism, but day after day it got under our skin and changed even ourselves, who were born and raised in these places. Sa Rutta Experience has become our way of being, of thinking, of living in symbiosis with nature in a responsible manner and without leaving a trace of our passage through the territory. These enchanting places, oozing with history and local traditions, have given us a great opportunity: to diversify Sardinia's tourist offer, generally linked to seaside activities, allowing tourists from all over the world to get to know these places where it is nature that gains the upper hand. WARNING: A 4x4 vehicle with good ground clearance is highly recommended to reach Sa Rutta.
