They included areas for livestock breeding, for processing the harvest and for farmers' dwellings. A must-see is the Masseria Brancati in Ostuni, which includes storehouses for olives and horses, dwellings, a church with a Rococo stone altar, an oil mill and a shed. Of course, a visit to the capital Brindisi and its beautiful Aragonese Castle is not to be missed. Also nearby is the Church of Santa Maria, in Romanesque-Gothic style with frescoes depicting the Annunciation, the Crucifixion and other religious stories. "
