Camping and Glamping at Orto Dell'Idro - Otranto

Orto Dell'Idro is a Yoga Eco Farm, a non-profit Social Promotion Association, offering inspiration for a more eco-conscious living in harmony with nature, ourselves and others, based on the principles of Yoga and Permaculture. We are in Otranto, 500m from the Mediterranean Sea and the historic centre. At Orto Dell'Idro we offer accommodation in bell tents for 2, 3, 4 persons. We offer real mattresses, sheets, towels and blankets. In the large bell tents there is a real bed, in the regular single tents the mattress is on the ground. The bathroom is shared with hot water. Rates are per person per night for accommodation, excluding breakfast which can be requested at €5, and dinner at €15 per person. Kitchen use is reserved for staff. It's a place for nature lovers who want to be surrounded by greenery but still be a 5min walk from the village and the sea. There are bound to be insects because we are in the countryside and damp in the evenings. It's not a campsite with pitches etc, it's a permaculture-run garden with an orchard - agroforest. We have a shared bathroom - shower with hot water and an outdoor shower with cold water. To charge the cell the sockets are in the well area or in the kitchen, under an outdoor pergola. The garden is mainly lit by solar lights. Electric light is limited to the kitchen and bathroom area.
