Base camp in the forest

A corner of the forest, located in the Cinque Laghi di Ivrea park, in the province of Turin in the Canavese area. We offer hospitality for a 'wild' experience in the woods, but with some comforts. The fully equipped cotton tent has two separate rooms, a large living area and a veranda. Communal tables and chairs for outdoor dining, bathroom and fridge. It can accommodate 2 to 5 persons. The area available is adjacent to our house, but is surrounded by characteristic dry stone walls that guarantee total privacy. It has an open entrance so if you decide to bring animals they must be kept on a leash. To reach us, you will have to drive along a narrow, but asphalted, piece of road, with the last 200 metres of dirt road requiring caution for those with particularly low cars. This is because we are located right on the park route, so you will have direct access to the paths that connect five lakes for walks and rides of varying levels of difficulty. As you walk along the forest paths, you will come across the Montalto castle, the distinctive Terre Ballerine and the full-scale reconstruction of part of the 7000-year-old village. A couple of kilometres away, reachable by car, is the bathing lake Sirio and the city of Ivrea. Known for the Olivetti industrial settlements, for its characteristic carnival with the throwing of oranges, for the patronal horse fair of San Savino and for the Canoe Stadium on the Dora river that hosts numerous international events. A stone's throw from Valle d'Aosta.
