Parking area on the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia

The site is located in Serra di Piro, near Gizzeria, a municipality in the province of Catanzaro. This place is intended for those who love living in close contact with Nature. An experience completely into the wild. Surrounded by Calabrian greenery, with a view of the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia, this location is ideal for a relaxing holiday, an adventure with friends or a stay. You can stay in a tent, camper van or caravan. The low light pollution allows you to observe a marvellous starry sky. Here you will rediscover the essentiality of simple things. Let yourself be carried away by the sounds and scents of the countryside, among ancient oak trees, cork trees, olive trees, liquorice, broom and expanses of wild flowers. The Mediterranean maquis will fascinate you. On clear days, the breathtaking panorama from Pizzo Calabro to Capo Suvero shows the beautiful Aeolian Islands. On the property, once the site of 'Nonno Giovanni's' farming activities, there remains a spartan farmhouse, the former solar-powered barn with a kitchenette and washbasin, and a toilet with washbasin fed by a rainwater recovery tank. This area is now being rehabilitated thanks to the work of a Social Farm, led by the Apicoltura Miceli farm in Lamezia Terme. The aim of the project is to restart agricultural production and to rediscover the history and traditions of the place from an ecological and eco-sustainable point of view.

You will be provided with water, a reserved car park, a shared kitchen and bathroom, and a barbecue to fully enjoy the camping experience. The experience is suitable for couples, families with children, groups of friends, as well as solo travellers. Your four-legged friends are welcome.

We recommend a visit to the village of Gizzeria, which contains evidence of ancient Italic and Greek settlements. Strolling through the centre, you can admire the beautiful churches and imposing historical buildings. 10-minute drive from the residence takes you to the sea, precisely to Gizzeria Lido where the world kite-surfing championships are held in summer. A half-hour drive takes you to the city of Lamezia Terme, rich in history and archaeology, such as the Terme di Caronte. In about half an hour's drive from the residence, one can visit the wonders of Mount Mancuso, belonging to the Reventino mountain massif, the western extension of Sila Piccola.
